The State of Maryland recognizes the Oversight Program at Grace Brethren Christian School as a Home School Umbrella Program. Our primary responsibility is to ensure that home school parents are providing "regular, thorough instruction..." to their children. Our services depend in part on the needs of parents as teachers. We offer minimal support for the more experienced home school family or a more intensive supervisory program if necessary.
We also offer optional support services. For a fee, students may take up to two courses per semester on campus on a space available basis, participate in after-school sports, and attend field trips by grade level.
To apply for participation in the GBCS Home School Umbrella program parents may download the home school application for the current school year, by clicking on the link below, and sending it with the application fee to the address below.
